Leave a deposit at a step and you are the cover somebody else’s withdrawal hides in. Half of every fee paid at that step is split between the wallets holding deposits there.

Every open step is listed, whether or not it needs anything. Deposit at one and you take half of every fee paid at that step, for as long as your deposit stays — so a step nobody sends at pays nothing, however deep it gets, and the rows say which those are. Your money stays yours: take it back at any time, free, inside the refund window.
The numbers come from the pool's own counters, not from anybody's request, so the board says nothing about who is waiting or whether anybody is.
